Driller Posted September 10, 2019 Author Posted September 10, 2019 (edited) Thanks James. For the spacer do you mean the magnet fixed into a plate which is longer/wider than the magnet, allowing you to fix through it around the edges? MrHappy Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Why would you want a surface magent on a new ( I assume) steel door ? Quote Mr Veritas God
Driller Posted September 10, 2019 Author Posted September 10, 2019 Well the purpose of the maglock is for easy staff entry and exit. Your question suggests I've made some sort of error though. Maybe I should have specified an integrated system at purchase? Quote
MrHappy Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I would have purchased a door with locking system built into it ? Steel door sets are normally a fire doors, or is you premises nr the local crack den ? Quote Mr Veritas God

There is a built in mortice lock system with shoot bolts all around plus dog bolts. This will be used to secure the door after closing time. I thought it would be nice to have a mag lock during opening hours to allow staff to come and go with just a blip on a badge reader. Quote
