AB 1950 Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 When I use the code, the alarm seems to set properly. When i use the code followed by # , the upper number 8 continues to flash. Quote
norman Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Are there any smoke detectors on the system? Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
AB 1950 Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 If that's what the flashing 8 means . How do I identify what zone 8 is ? Norman asked if a smoke detector is linked. There is a smoke detector however I don't know if it is linked . How could I discover if it is. Thanks for the interest by the way. Quote
norman Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I thought a faulty zone would be a steady led, but I must admit I can't remember, hence asking if it's a fire zone that's tripped. The only real way to tell is to either find the paperwork that identifies the zones or get a competent person in who can sort it and service it maybe @ the same time. If your landlord had it fitted they may have the paperwork, and in most cases it's up to them to resolve in any case. Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

AB 1950 Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 I will get a photo of the detector tomorrow with a little luck. Quote
AB 1950 Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 I will get a photo of the detector tomorrow with a little luck. Smoke detector is battery operated and not connected to the mains. Quote
norman Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Personally I'd refer back to your landlord and let him sort it. Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
