phillykins Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Quote I have an Aritech CD72. Came up with the message EEProm 128. I believe this means there was a problem with the system writing info to the EEProm. Is this likely to become an issue? Can I reset the EEProm? If yes, what info will I lose from the system or does the EEProm just store the log info. Thanks Newbie Phil Quote

phillykins Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 Hi James. It has been working fine in a neighbours' house for many years. It is a split system and the man is very satisfied with it. Just want to know if the message highlighted is likely to be the beginning of a problem or something that happens every now and then. Is it likely to be serious? Thanks Phil Quote

You have answered your own question, he has had good value for money out of it, if its lasted ten years nothing lasts forever. Not sure what you mean by split system, is but most decent panels can do far more than anything that was around when the CD72 came out. Area setting and part setting is available on even the most basic panels. Quote
phillykins Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 Thanks. I know all that having worked in the industry for many years but I have never come across the message quoted in my first post. That is what I need an answer to, not if 10 years is good value for money. It probably is but I don't want to tell my neighbour he needs a new system if an EEProm reset is all that is required or a replacement EEProm. I need to know if the last two points are realistic or possible. Thanks Phil Quote
PeterJames Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 The answer to your question is no the eprom stores everything Quote

phillykins Posted September 3, 2018 Author Posted September 3, 2018 Thanks Mr. Happy. Probably the answer I needed. Are you recommending a battery replacement? And what is a 1313? Must confess I have never heard of that. Thanks Phil Quote
