Can anyone help?

i changed the battery in my garage sensor and the system will not reset.

i have both the user and engineer codes.

keeps saying

’can’t set! Eng. anti 4814’

&

‘garage T!’

I thought there might have been an issue with the tamper resting, but I can hear the micro switch make, and even tried it by taping the micro switch close with the sensor cover removed.

Frustrating!!!

i understand it can be reset by the use of the master code.

so why is it asking for engineer reset....

I presume it is asking for the eng code as that is what has been set for a reset such as tamper.

ding!

i feel the tamper is faulty

its Gardtec, simply replacing the battery & ensuring the tamper is closed  would be far too simple...

i understand it can be reset by the use of the master code.

But above you said you have the engineer code? So what's issue then , or you mean you have user and master code not engineer code
