Hi, Does anybody know why this radio DSC power832 bleeps intermitently whilst unset. It could happen twice a night and then not do it for a week or so. The troulbe light indicates a fault but when you *2 i think all that comes up is general service required? I have tried to reset the system and clear the service timers etc.

Have alos read on the forum about power problems, can someone highlight me on this.

After the *2, I take it light 1 comes on?

If so, press 1, and the specific trouble will come up.

The lights then have the following meanings:

1 - low battery

2 - Bell circuit trouble

3 - System trouble. Power supply, output module or printer failure

4 - Tamper

5 - Communication failure (on the keybus circuit)

Hope this helps.

I would say you have a trouble in one of the modules attached to the panel. DSC is a bit tricky to faultfind if the trouble is in the module and you are without programming software. Anyhow, reading the event buffer usually tell's you exactly where the fault is.

I guess you have LCD - keypad if you have radio/intercom module. You can get to eventbuffer by *6 [MASTER CODE] and then search with < > arrows for Event Buffer and push * . You can scroll timestanps with arrows and with * you get proper info.

DSC rarely have any REAL faults in it. One of the most robust panels I have seen.
