Sadly people like him think that everyone else is like themselves, he apparently is actually quite well off.

But its about how it got to be well off that defines his personality. If you made your fortune by ripping people off, you think that is what everyone else is doing it. As opposed to people that have worked hard all their lives to make their money who do understand, what goes into quality workmanship, and understand the value of hard work.

He thinks that everyone else is like him and trying to rip him off, but nobody is forcing him to buy from us or take our advice.

I got a quote on Friday to get my Merc ceramic coated and valeted, I asked the guy if the car needed machine polishing first(an extra £150.00 worth of work) the chap said no once I have gone over it with the clay bar I will hand polish out any minor scratches. He could have easily said yes I would have not known any difference but that is an example of the sort of advice you get from someone that works for a living. I like to think that I would always give the same sort of advice when it comes to security, I never sell detection where its not required.

He assumed I was taking the piss when I said to check the faint beeping from his keypad wasn't the the smoke alarm low battery beep....

He then sulked away, came back on different a/c & then returned on the 1st a/c

Pricing, you can ask whatever you want for a job I can help people for free, ask thousands or be some where in the middle of 3 quotes.... which is the normal feedback I get.

Normally if the customer is being quoted lots of money for a modest job, either the local conman has been round or honest people are trying their hardest not to win the work, I assume Paul experienced the later ;)

If he exhibits the same attitude towards people in everyday life as he did here, I'm not surprised his "Electrical engineer" sons do nothing for him. That's if they actually exist.

Hmm, we only have his word for the fact that he's well off. Personally I still think he failed at getting into the alarm industry and that's where the stinking attitude towards us comes from.

It's nice to hear there are still some honest people around, sadly they seem to be getting fewer by the year.

Pity that he doesn't use some of his money for a psychologist to help work out his issues.

In order to fix your issues you first have to understand that you have them. Many people think that its everyone else who has the problem, I employed someone like that once
