Reddwarf4ever Posted May 29, 2019 Author Posted May 29, 2019 What’s the point of this forum, if you say no point in giving advice because everyone will have their own preferences.... but it isn’t THAT the whole point, healthy discussion. thanks anyway, will research elsewhere........ 46 minutes ago, james.wilson said: It's not as simple as that. Think of the question, what's the best car? That’s what discussion means, we discuss weigh up pros and cons......maybe just let google decide for me LOL Quote

Specialist Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 (edited) The point of this forum is that we help and advise people, which if you care to read the forum we have done for thousands of people over the years. You were given the advice you asked for, as you have been whenever you've asked a question. Unfortunately that doesn't suit what you want to hear. If you care to do a forum Search, you'll find that your questions have been answered many times in the past. Edited May 29, 2019 by Specialist Quote Customers Love us, Intruders Hate us.

Have decided to do away with all the smoke alarms, as I a, told they only last 7 years and most are now over 16 years old....will replace with 3 or 4 standalone smoke alarms. Also am told by an enquiry I made that A Pyronix Euro 46 8 zone control panel., a euro zem8 8 zone wired expander & two Pyronix Euro keypads, & a Pyronix delta bell. been also told that to have TWO external sounders would require an extra PSU, whereas my gardtec 840 see,S t accept two easily., so wonder wh I can’t have two, a PSU shouldn’t be too expensive should it? not clear if this is my cheapest option to replace the specified components I.e. two kepypads alarm panel and an external alarm, all PIRs and door contacts to remain. One other enquiry suggested a scantronic hybrid panel, which as. I Understand has Wi-fi included and some wireless capability also, not sure yet if this requires extra modules or not, or if the Pyronix is my best choice thanks You would have to look at the stand alone smoke alarms sell by date aswell One bell will be in sab mode other bell I'm scb mode scaMtronic only good for basic alarm , many systems have wireless though Texecom Hkc Don't think the Vanderbilt will work for you if you need good wireless options Keeping existing contacts and pirs , depends how well they are working but after 17uears why you want to keep them?
