Hi, Can you please suggest options for outdoor movement / PIR sensors that operate on 24V (or lower if we use a DC-DC step down).

Looking for something as follows:

  • compact / fairly flush
  • positioned over a rear door, 180deg minimum coverage, with downward emphasis
  • white colour
  • installed on an external wall (so, IP rated for external use)
  • dual tec / false alarm / pet immune
  • 24V (or lower, can use a DC-DC step down if needed.  Sooner 24V native)
  • No timer delay on output if possible
  • Relay output to connect to control system

Any thoughts welcome.  Thank you in advance.

Plenty of 12VDC options. Was thinking LX-402 initially.

What are you trying to achieve?

Dual Tech/False alarm/pet immune is a bit vague?

You have not mentioned anything about switching current and voltage.

Sounds like something a IR beam may do a better job at.

The movement sensor will be connected to a control system that operates at 24v and the control system will operate external lighting etc.

So, the sensor is not switching anything.  It is just closing a contact that signals the controller.  Currents will be negligable.

Re dual tec / pet immune - this is just to stop false triggers.  e.g. not keep turning the lights on when foxes / cats / sunlight etc triggering the movement sensor and thus the lights

Thank you again.
