Guest Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 As we all know: windows based systems sucks because it is windows based. It doesn't matter how good the manufacturer is but because Bill doesn't know how to make it it doesn't help. so the answer is BLANCOM. Linux based. You do not have to rely on a single manufacturer who still have limited possibilities to develop the operating system.

Selsport69 Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 In my opinion stay away from the dm range. My experience is too many hard drive failures. Vista Columbus is okay but Ademco AHDR runs away with it. Go with that. Kev

Brian c Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 I was at a sprite2 the other day, the camera text was upside down at top of screen and had interference. This was on all cameras and all mon o/p's. Phoned DM support, Factory reset, same problem. Then tried software upgrade to sprite. Upgraded ok, same fault! There's another on it's way back!! Anyone noticed many fualts with VCL domes? we seem to have a few of them go back aswell If you don't know......ask.
jb-eye Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Anyone noticed many fualts with VCL domes? we seem to have a few of them go back aswell 32119[/snapback] We used to have a problem with the older orbitor PSU this apears to have been rectified with revised PSU (they still wont accept liabilaties) By far the bigest problem i have encountered is the air gun pellet. I also have this evil streak in me every time i see a VCL dome fixed at low level i think about nicking them. Strange thing is second time i look someone beats me to it. could i have a split personality and if so who am i moving them on to. jef Customers!

If there's a dome too low, it's good to know VCLman's ready to go. Under cover of night, without a fight Those pesky domes come down alright. Into stores they go, for being too low So Jef can fit them at a decent height! Go VCLman you rock! If you don't know......ask.
