Allso Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 Galaxys are normally sold second hand to there is some time wrong with them, or ex //.National Installer.//. 32153 Do //.National Installer.//-Galaxy panels differ in any major way from the non-//.National Installer.// ones? Am I right in thinking that for DD243 compliance the panel software should be version 4.0 or greater? Allso

I believe the //.National Installer.// galaxys are setup in such a way as to stop non //.National Installer.// Rios etc being added by unauthorized personnel on takeovers etc, dont quote me on this but im sure one of the //.National Installer.// members will clarify. Brian c Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 I don't think there's any real difference, except maybe some of the programming defaults and default system text. Pretty sure the only problem with adding RIO's was with the old, encrypted thorn panels(Sitegaurd). There's no issues I know of iwth non //.National Installer.// RIO's going on //.National Installer.// panels. If you don't know......ask.

Guest STEPPY Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Can a Keyprox keypad be used as a standard code-only keypad? If a Keyprox is being used code-only can it be mixed with standard Mk 7 keypads on the same system? Before any installers blow their gaskets and rush to tell me that Galaxy is not DIY kit - I know - I'm aquiring some kit for PROFESSIONAL installation but want to make sure its all compatible? Allso 31976 YES YOU CAN .BUT YOU MUST CHECK WHAT SOFTWARE IN THE PANNEL FIRST I FITTED ONE A THE WEEKEND WITH THE OLD SOFTWARE 97 AND THE PROX-FOB WORKED I KNOW THATS NOT YOU ARE GOING TO DO BUT THIS SUPPRISED ME

Guest Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 And possibly some punctuation, and some more words to fill out the sentences without having to guess. Not being picky, just a selection of the above will be fine, we're not asking for MENSA topping members!
mikeald Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 yeah man chill with the capitals! also eeveryone dont forget that you can only have 4 keyprox keypads on each line of a galay panel and 8 mk7 keypads. mike Intruder & Fire Member
logical Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 i know that some police authorities are getting qutite strict and picky about system requirements which may well you mean you need one of the last 2 software versions in some areas of the country,at least 4.04.you would also need to use pass keys to comply Trade Member
norman Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 DD243 would only apply to systems requiring a URN from the police. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
