We can't give you exact step by step instructions on how to disable your alarm.

As a guide you would need to remove the external sounder first this will involve a ladder and some ear protection as you will trigger the sirens by doing so.

Then you can remove the inside without disturbing the neighbours too much. You will also need some electrical knowledge on how to make the mains supply circuit safe before and after the main panel is removed.

I would suggest if you are not comfortable working with tools at a height, being surprised by loud sirens or working with mains electrics to consider having an engineer out to decommission it.

Out of interest is there a reason for it's removal?

A complaint engineer?

Is that someone that makes stuff up and sends it in to That's Life?

I have no complaints

I don’t like the great big ugly control panel on the wall maybe I could just have the system updated

Most people that come here dont like a great big ugly burglar in their house LOL!   Seriously though there are several are many alternatives out there depending on what where the controls can be positioned. The biggest problem you will have is that the cables all terminate at the panel, and so they will need to be re-routed to the new panels position, best to call the company that installed it and ask them for a quote to update it
