Wooly-bobs Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 I've got an old 808 with a fault that will not clear. The LCD star burst display reads: PAS B H or PA5 B H as it's a star burst display its difficult to read. Any ideas as all ccts are ok... It fails test on existing eng mode. Quote
datadiffusion Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Wow, an 808 on starburst Unfortunately I only ever used the starburst as an arming station. Do you have the eng manual though? Quote So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

datadiffusion Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Yeah sorry I didn't notice you were trade. I too checked the manual and like you say it's not in there! Do you deffo get the 'Cant exit faults = 1' type text when you try and exit, but before this, then? Quote So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
MrHappy Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 some sort of panic prob ? either a button on a circuit or something to do with key 1+3 ? check wiring, power cycle, default reprogram or rip it off the wall & stamp on it.... Quote Mr Veritas God
datadiffusion Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Yeah I'd have to say even as a scanny fan this is never a panel I've wanted to support. Actually I've only ever fitted an 816. Does the 808 only support starbrust then? Quote So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Wooly-bobs Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 I've never been a fan of this particular panel mainly because its mounted in a right awkward place that requires contortion skills to work on.. I've checked the wiring, nothing a miss, did power cycle the unit but still a fault. I did tell customer that a new unit wasnt out of the question, this thing is old, the clock memory fails on it after being set. Quote
james.wilson Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 i presume all parts of the starburst function? Its not that bits are missing? Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Wooly-bobs Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 Display is ok James. I dont know why a proper keypad wasnt fitted on install. The original company was well known for corner cutting... Quote
