james.wilson Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 Id say every 5 years is fine. Better to replace before panels report it to prevent damage but modern panels seem to do better with failed battery's than the old dumb stuff 1 1 Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

But if not it can destroy the charging circuit. Same as saying jcb's arnt very good if they are never serviced Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Sideshow Posted May 29, 2020 Author Posted May 29, 2020 Forgot to mention the blue was stripped back as though it should be terminated somewhere. Thanks for the replies so far. Going to try this Troubleshooting : External Sounder does not sound Action : Use a multimeter or small buzzer across the Bell +&- terminals to determine if the control panel is triggering the bell. If all is O.K check the operation of the sounder by wiring it to the system battery. Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Am i missing something? You said it was working? Quote

Sideshow Posted May 29, 2020 Author Posted May 29, 2020 Yes the external Bell test worked, but the original fault is still apparent that if the system is triggered the external alarm does not sound. Quote
james.wilson Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 thats not a wiring issue then, maybe programming, how are you testing it, ie what are you doing to cause a full alarm. What happened when you did the bell test? Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Sideshow Posted May 29, 2020 Author Posted May 29, 2020 To do the Bell Test i entered the User code and pressed 9, as per the Eurosec User manual page 19. The bell test worked. Not sure what else it could be? is it worth resetting the whole system if this is possible? Quote
james.wilson Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 When you did the bell test did you check the external bell or stay by the keypad and heard the internal bell? Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
