Hi all,

I am after a little bit of advice regarding my home alarm.  I have a Honeywell ADE Gen4 alarm panel and Honeywell Viper Sensors on my windows.  One fo the sensors took a bit of a whack during some house work and, as a result, the house alarm went off.  I entered my code to silence but now both the Tamper and Day LEDs are lit and the keypad is unresponsive.  I try to enter my code to reset the system but nothing happens.

Has anyone any suggestions on how I can reset the alarm so I can set it again?

Thanks

Rob.

Thanks for the reply.

Once I've had a look at the sensor, would I need to use an engineer to unlock the alarm or is it something I could do myself?

I'm by no means an expert but I have changed a few sensors on an alarm in the past.

Thanks, Rob.

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice.  Managed to look at it today.  Not sure what had happened but I just gave the Viper Sensor on the window a tap and it went out of the tamper mode and all is well again.

Thanks again

Well when it comes to cars  hitting the engine with a hammer might temporarily fix the problem
