Matt 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Hi, I have a self installed Pyronix Enforcer V10 with various sensors. For my night setting, I've set the siren delay to be 2 minutes, in case of any false alarms overnight. The trouble is, it seems to ignore this and triggers the external siren (the wireless deltabell) as soon as the alarm is activated (either a shock or contact sensor). I've waited the three minutes it says before it will take effect, but still no joy. Is anybody able to assist please? Many thanks, Matt Quote
MrHappy Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 I'd assume the bell delay is when its full set ? You don't require a 3 mi bell delay, if the system is designed, installed & used correctly Quote Mr Veritas God
sixwheeledbeast Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 2 minutes is a long time for the rare occasion you would say walk into a fully armed room... I could maybe justify seconds on rare instances but never minutes. i am assuming part set only here Quote
PeterJames Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 I dont think bell delay will work if you have not got comms attached, the panel see's it cannot send a signal to the alarm receiving centre so the bell is automatically immediate. In any case the internal sounder will also remain silent if it did work. Bell delay is only meant for monitored alarm systems, its intended to allow the Police to get to site before burglar realises he has been detected. Quote
james.wilson Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 iirc the bell delay will be per area or partset, also look at area alarms. starts at - ends at. id suggest starts at internal etc that will give you a 15 sec delay as it escalates Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Matt 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 Author Posted June 21, 2020 Thanks everyone for the advice! I'll look at area alarms to see if that will give me what I'm after. Quote
