Bit weird that , architect design , so they don't want to see contacts

Installer should put into frames then some how

I get tenders through daily with weird shrimps on it, insisting on Grade 3 and but audible only, or quoting 4737 its why they specify that the installer must be accredited, its like heres something to make the client think we know what we are talking about, but you're the expert you tell us how it should be. Normally I quote exactly what they specify and then when I get the tender and get in front of the client I change it for what they need.

I have several architects that specify us as their preferred specialist because we dont make them look like ducks

That said the dreaded Grade 3 for jobs that dont require G3 is a bloody nightmare to explain to some people. Insurance brokers are the worse, followed by customers who think that highly sensitive detectors and door contacts will be fine in their dusty old plastic factory with doors that blow open in a gentle breeze.

But still no M.C's?

None specced. Is it preferable to have one to start the the unsetting/setting procedure on say the front door? (residential property) I would think yes.

yeah that would have worked - it's a system designed by others.

Yes, and also so they can't set the alarm with the doors open.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Dude as Norman

But non spec means you still spec it and tell me how it is , designed because of aesthetics more likely , you need to go look how to put contacts on either visible and hidden if possible and spec it
