Gdb Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Hi, new to the forum. I’ve got an oldish infinite prime alarm system in the house and I’m looking to remove it and replace with a new system. All the motion and door sensors are wireless and I’m assuming the external siren is too. I have a disarmed system trouble message and the control panel which says comm trouble external siren. It doesn’t sound if we trigger it but it says it’s ok if I search the transmitter list. The reason I ask is, will it sound if i remove the Control panel completely? I plan to leave the siren up as a dummy. Thanks for any advice Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Probably not, never fitted one but I assume it's one way wireless so if disarmed it wouldn't know the panels been pulled of the wall. It's possibly got a flat battery anyway if in fault. Quote

Plus I’ve not got ladders to get up there if it did go off Quote
aissecur Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 I’m fairly sure they are wireless bells, never been a fan If you were looking to go down the wireless route I would recommend pyronix or Texecom Quote
Grumpy Jon Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 I would be surprised if it did, they have a battery in but panel has been discontinued for several years and the battery will have probably expired, the worst case scenario would be it does ring for 20 mins. Quote
