scrimshanker Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Hi Anyone fitted an Ajax Alarm and if so are they any good? Quote
Amps Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 No and I personally do not like the idea of no keypad on-site. Maybe I'm old fashioned. A routine service visit must be a little strange using a phone. 1 Quote

Same, however but I've got one plugged in at the office Internet off at 13:15 ish few mins later Ajax has reported the failure 15:15 ish Arc have reported the failure (is only G2, but hey...) Internet back on 2am the following, Ajax reported Arc doesn't report the the restore From my limited play with the product it make something like an enforcer seem dated, I'm an alarm man, not an app man, I don't think it the right thing for my co 1 Quote Mr Veritas God
PeterJames Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Most app panels do this though? The ARC reports when my wifi goes down my app is usually much quicker, the arc never reports the wifi is back whereas the app does. But the ARC is only ever gonna report problems, theyre not really cut out to report when the problem is fixed. I dont like the Ajax either, if you want something like that you can do it for a quarter of the price using something like Sonoff. Quote

With an app Only because the arc have to wait 90 secs, and they also have to phone you to tell you stuff whereas the app is direct. I would not rely on the app though, a real person makes sure that someone got the message, if you forget to take your phone off silent mode from when you were in that meeting, or at that funeral, or in the cinema, the real person would have spoken to your keyholders Quote
