Any one tried the Orisec wire free kit ?
We moved to Orisec last year when our then current supplier decided to pull all the lines we used and left us high n dry.
20 installs later and I have to say its better than most other stuff we've looked at and tried.
Free App that our customers love too.

What was other line?

Commpact from Risco, cheap but did a fair job on the domestics.
Easy to use, only trouble was tamper issues as batteries came due for swapping.
I did find their app was very good.

Sounds real pro...

OP isn't a pro, I would'nt recomend anyone fit a fused spur unless they are actually qualified to do it... 3 pin plug just requires you to be competent enough to wire a 3 pin plug...

Thanks for your additional comment a year later. Lets just say the remark wasn't solely about the plug top...

A plug top could actually conform, provided it was secured from accidental disconnection.

Also who knows what qualifications, competence or other help the non-trade that post here have.

It's in the DIY section, they may want to wire it in wet string via a bathroom....

Being trade we explain how it should be, any one with basic DIY skills can throw wireless kit on the wall wrong.

It's better than nothing

At least with nothing, you won't ever rely on it.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Only if its working when you need it to. People come here for advice, if we just said yeah that'l do and then they were burgled because the system failed then we would not be providing good advice would we. If something is unreliable, we should say so, and we all know that the free apps have been very unreliable.

What use is a security product that works 99% of the time in general use, but 0% of the time if attacked or jammed.

I suppose they still fit doors with cheap euro cylinders so there is a market for rubbish...
