j.paul Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 No it beeps once and stays at attack and day>How old is the panel? At least 6 years I would try and default the panel, then see if it will programme again If not then could be a faulty PCB There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.
Guest ubergeek Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 I would try and default the panel, then see if it will programme again If not then could be a faulty PCB 33835 OK I'll default the panel again and see what happens. Thanks for all the help!
Guest RICHL Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Im not 100% sure but I think your panel is older than your manual.
FASTCAR Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 The original Optima Compact has 6 pre-programmed zones , ( an XM6 with chimes).
Guest ubergeek Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 The original Optima Compact has 6 pre-programmed zones , ( an XM6 with chimes). 33866 The manual says '6 zones plus PA and Tamper' btw I did a factory reset from engineer mode (via the SET key) - now the alarm arms itself but it still won't let me set up the zones. If it defaults to Program 1 then I might be ok
FASTCAR Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Using the user manual , try to set the second user code , if it wont let you , I would suspect you have the older , non programmable panel.

Well done that man. Out of interest when did they stop making the 'old' panels? Thanks for all the help!!
