sixwheeledbeast Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Then it's no point looking at panel manufacturers. You should get 3 quotes and find a company you feel comfortable with, not just the cheapest. Quote
james.wilson Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Agreed, if someone is prepared to fit a system they dont support, train on etc id run a mile. If risco is what you want, look for companies that specialise in risco. But as the service etc is provided by the installer id recomend you find the installer you are happy with first. The best kit can be installed badly and result in unreliability. Also if you specify the equipment if you have any issues then the installer will quite rightly say, its the gear you wanted. We all have our preffered kit that we test and setup a certain way. PeterJames Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Agreed with the above you could also think about an accredited company, you may get a discount on your insurance. Quote

I like the look of a Risco Lightsys system but I see the installers dont seem to like it, can you tell me why its not liked please. Alternative is Orisec as we want touchscreen keypads which seems to be a liked system, I have 4 pir's 3 contacts, internal sounder, garage door contact and bell box all wired but a couple of pirs and one contact are in telephone cable so they need to be wireless, so I need Bell box wired control panel 2 wired pirs 2 wireless pirs 1 wired contact 2 wireless contact any idea of a cost for what I need. is the Risco and Orisec comparable price wise ? Do any other systems do touchscreen keypads ? Many Thanks I fit orisec and its really good I'm not a big fan of risco I would recommend a cp20 with a cm2 WiFi module and a wireless access point for your needs Another good option is a Scantronic ion 40h i would be interested in buying the old system from you Quote
james.wilson Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Scantronic ion is old 1 way rf though? Never used orisec to comment Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

Tally1001 Posted August 15, 2022 Author Posted August 15, 2022 Ok, so im now looking at not going wireless but all wired. Had one quote so far and if thats the going price I will keep what I have as I can see companies in other parts of the country 60%less than the price of my quote. Any way got 3 more coming out in the next 2 weeks. Any ideas on Euro 46 please Thanks Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 As much as price is a consideration you need to have confidence in the company, it will vary based on a number of factors including area. It's a service industry not a fitting industry you want ongoing support not fit and run... Quote
