Hi,

I’ve got this panel, just purchased. Set option 3.0 to 2 i.e 2K2 &4K7. Wiring looks ok to me and alarm is detected ok, but tamper shows nothing?

testing wiring.
sensor closed (no intruder), tamper closed - circuit resistance is 2K2

sensor open (intruder), tamper closed - circuit resistance is 6K9

sensor closed (no intruder), tamper open - open circuit.

LCD keypad shows nothing about tamper faults?

any help appreciated

EOL on Excel as always been weird, much like the rest of the panel I suppose...

They never used to support 2K2/4K7 at all, so this is relatively new feature to my knowledge.

I imagine the panel is still looking for closed loops or one of the daft 33K EOL modes, your tests would be correct so it's likely a panel setting.

The option to switch EOL modes maybe ignored without also enabling a "High Security wiring type" option or something along them lines.

Some options only work on the LCD keypad and not the LED and vice-versa.

As much as your saving a few quid using an Excel to a Premier, they are not great to program or work on.

Hi,

thanks, missed programming option ‘Open Circuit on Tamper’ think it was option 03 enable 3. Working now.

can anyone advise what I need for the door contact?

I am aware of the premier panel, but have found it too complex for what most domestic users need, so was looking for something between the R8 & Premier with good support from manufacturer. I used to install Accenta panels, easy to setup, very simple to program and very reliable.
