james.wilson Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 Also what's the risk you are protecting. You mention grade 3 but it looks like it's DIY or are you the installer? Hpatz1 Posted October 20, 2023 Author Posted October 20, 2023 It’s a high value shop. We have done the install and now are getting Chubb to take over and do monitoring and maintaince. Should be a grade 4 once finished with signalling ect we want to know that the glass is broken before then enter as it’s bullet proof glass Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 The comment regarding Grade 4 shows complete misunderstanding... Curtain PIR, Beams, Foil, all probably much better options. Make sure your glassbreak supports bulletproof/laminated glass consider how the shutter will affect detection, if you ignore us. Chubb may want to rip half of it out if it's not to spec anyway. 1 Quote
james.wilson Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 Glass break detectors don't usually work on bulletproof glass is it actually bulletproof? Grade 4 signalling is available but grade 4 detection isn't. What are the insurance requirements? I'd suggest shock detectors would be better and quicker than glass break assuming suitable ie not a main road. Also if you have installed it check chubb will do the failure to perform cover. So you decided that you needed to skimp on the security and fit it yourself We have done the install and now are getting Chubb to take over and do monitoring and maintaince. If you havent done it properly they will want to rip it out and start again, not only that all of the detection and panel is not going to be covered by their warranty and they wont let you touch it if they do take it over. Not sure that they would want a premier anyway. Should be a grade 4 once finished with signalling ect This tells me you know very little about security systems and you think the higher the number the better the security. My dad is bigger than your dad. we want to know that the glass is broken before then enter as it’s bullet proof glass If someones broken the glass there already in What are you selling? Quote
