Guest Ian Robinson Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 I have inherited a Veritas 8 alarm system. I only have the instructions from the installation company, which are brief to say the least. I have just installed some additional PIR sensors, one is in the same room as the entry/exit door. The entry exit does not set off the alarm, but the PIR does, I need to know how to set a delay on this sensor aswell. If any one has any ideas, or can mail me a set of "Full" instruction I would be obliged. Ian Robinson robbouk@lineone.net
Guest Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 Unfortunately we can't give out installation instructions, only user. You'll need to set the PIR as a time inhibit zone.

If you are able to give me a clue it would be appreciated. Thanks for your quick response Ian Robinson
Guest Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 You need to put the panel into engineering mode, which is something that may not be a default operation depending how it was set up. Once it's in engineering mode then you can alter the zone to a time inhibit. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how to put the panel into engineering mode, sorry.

I'll consider buying a DIY control panel and replacing the veritas. Thanks any way for you quick response.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

The Veritas is a DIY panel, the reason I won't give out info is because of the security aspect.

I know what you're trying to say but no CEF round here has Texecom in, actually, no-one round here has Texecom full stop.
