a close up!

Im just thinking guys maybe its the small INTERNAL STROBE/SIREN IVE ALSO Wired up  to the same terminals as the exterior bell box?

The wiring is poorly terminated but it doesn't look loose...

There are no resistors required for compatible panels/inputs.

You shouldn't mix G3 Aux Fault and Aux Tampers together, but it doesn't seem to have been wired it like that anyway.

You haven't terminated the test terminal at the panel from what I see, so it's not doing the G3 periodic testing which I expected to be part of the issue.

I'd say it's DIY so just follow the instructions for Grade 2 installation using 5 wires. Make sure the bell hold off and battery works see if the fault clears.

this one has a cheap tamper inside it small and flimsy

Elmdene Int500,

The controls has plenty of spare zones & outputs, I would not have double things up,

whilst the alarm is unset walk up to the internal speaker / internal sab.... firmly strike it with the handle of a no. 2 pozi or similar.

If if goes into tamper adjust it so it does not....

If you can't strike into tamper, do the same trick to the external bell, remember the switch in on the internal cover no on the external lid

THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES

how do i do this: You haven't terminated the test terminal at the panel from what I see, so it's not doing the G3 periodic testing which I expected to be part of the issue.

Im thinking its that internal siren thats bad! im not sure how to wire that "internal speaker up separately?

i tidied up the external and seems okay looking also tidy neatened up the wires all 8 x cores being used, seems ok i can also hear the micro switch clicking etc

When i let go of the tamper the external siren sounds!

Im looking hopefully at it being at the "control panel side? or that small cheaply made internal speaker!

They pee me off as to keep on the shelf as complete unit they live in plaggy bags, 3" is non std screw length,

the underside is labeled or the wrong item get s sent out

they all have screw on the inside of the inner cover, they adjust to make contact with the micro switch

3" screw leaves 47mm or there abouts in the wall which is just over the minimum in 4737 of  1.5" ?

If it's "Aux fault" and not "bell tamper" then I don't think it would be the bell tamper?

I recall EN was minimum 2" fixings for warning devices but I don't remember if it was overall screw length or penetration.

It is daft to have 2" screw and more than half of it not in the wall. I don't like these for this either but it apparently makes them easier to be lazy measuring up for drilling.

The BELL Tamper came on when i was testing it all

Since went off so im guessing its the internal siren?

It did say AUX Before but for now hasnt reappeared?

Im going on holiday and need it 100%

ON keypad said BELL FAULT When opened,

so the AUX message thats disappeared for now couldn't of been the issue with the bell tamper

Tapped hard on the internal siren didnt do anything

seems okay again for now
