Guest shellylady Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Johnny,I have sent one to your e-mail address in pdf format. Good Luck! Steve Hi Steve My mum has just moved into a house with an optima xm6. she has no user guide. i have figured out how to change the code for her it was the same way as my Melcom. But at the moment she has to put in her code then press omit 6 then set when she wants tot go to bed. I have programmed my own house alarm with part guard zones so I just have to do my code and set ( and obviously the relevant zones are omitted auto). I have been trying to figure out how to do a part guard for her because she is too old to remember the CODE-omit 6-set thing.# Can you help? Can you send me a user guide? michele.kay@ntlworld.com
FASTCAR Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Hi , There is a copy in the Gallery , although it wont show how to set-up a part guard , as the XM wont do this. Regards.

Thanks I thought as much. nevermind I'll see how she goes on and then maybe get someone to fit a new panel for her. The house she moved from was great it was just a panel and she didnt have to put numbers in ( only when she got up or came in) she just had 2 buttons to press. she pressed the full button when going out or the part button when going to bed. dead easy. Thing is I can't remember what the name of that panel was to ask for one of them to be fitted. Ta anyway
Guest Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 However, under the new regulations single button setting is no longer permitted as this would allow an unauthorised person to aet the alarm. Yep, much better to give your code out to all and sundry.
Guest shellylady Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Yep, much better to give your code out to all and sundry. What a great idea ****** If i give out her PIN to everyone she won't have to worry about the alarm going off when the burglars come in.............
