Kingkat Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 Is the Honeywell IS312B PIR a good choice for replacement? The alarm panel is an ADE Optima Compact. Any recommendations on PIR that is suitable? Quote

Kingkat Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 I’m also looking at the Texecom Veritas Reflex PIR, any good? Prefer the replacement PIR to be similar in size & appearance of the original one Not so keen on the Optex as it’s longer, green light & very modern looking The Honeywell & Texecom is the closest match I can find. sixwheeledbeast Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Anything but the Capture from Texecom are cheap tat IMO. Optex, Texe Capture or Bosch for me, has to have sealed optics. Quote
Kingkat Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 Capture from Texecom are cheap TAT but you still recommend it? Quote

Quote CHATGPT This statement appears to be someone's opinion on security sensors, particularly motion detectors. "Anything but the Capture from Texecom are cheap tat IMO." The speaker is saying that, in their opinion (IMO stands for "In My Opinion"), most products from Texecom (other than the "Capture" model) are of poor quality, described here as "cheap tat" (a British slang term meaning low-quality or cheaply made products). "Optex, Texe Capture or Bosch for me, has to have sealed optics." The person is stating that they prefer specific brands or models: Optex, Texecom's Capture model, or Bosch. The key feature they want in a motion detector is sealed optics, which is likely referring to sensors that are protected against dust and moisture, ensuring they remain reliable and accurate. So overall, the person is expressing a preference for certain brands and models of security sensors, specifically those that are more durable and have sealed optics to prevent malfunctions. Quote
