Agreed, way past it's sell by date. OP doesn't mention if it's ever worked properly either.

What's your sell by date on it?

As much as you change your phone? As one date

Whatever date it was manufactured, about 30 seconds after it came of the production line.

It could be a number of things could be poor connections in the bell so t6he bell is not getting enough current, do you see corrosion on the terminals at the bell? It could be the bell is knackered, it could be the panel is knackered my money is on one of the first two

Thanks  very much for advice Peter I'll take a look

Thanks everyone - it used to work fine but it must be YEARS old .... scrap heap might be the result after I've checked out Peter's comments about the bell/ siren .

Again thanks very much for your comments

Could you please scan the instructions, there are many that are looking for them, me included, it would be much appreciated. Thank you

Those instructions in full;

  1. Turn off mains
  2. Remove battery
  3. Remove all traces of TP800 equipment
  4. Place into bin
  5. Contact a local installer, or, fit a DIY Scantronic 9651, Pyronix Enforcer, Accenta based kit, or, fit dummy box with a real brand on, ADT, Yale,  Landsend Securities, John o' Groats Systems, it doesnt matter
  6. You are now less likely to be burgled with none of the downsides of owning a TP800.
