Guest garethjones Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Hi, I have had the RS40 for about 10 years, the control box is getting VERY hot. I suspect it may be the battery but I then I am only guessing. I am relectant to open the control panel this will activate the tamper. I have the engineer code for the alarm but I am not sure where to go from there. Can anyone give my some advise please? Thanks Gareth
norman Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Hi Gareth, It sound's like, as you say the battery has given up, this could potentially lead to other problems (namely charging regulator giving up th ghost) I would have it professionally serviced and given a clean bill of health for your own peace of mind. post your general location on here and I am sure someone will be able to offer some help and advice. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Guest RICHL Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 It does beg the question of why do people deal with cowboys.
