norman Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 As far as I was aware the main reasons (as mentioned before) for not installing flush to outward opening doors are 1st the ease of compromising the contact as mentioned by Colin, and secondly the higher risk of water ingress. Nova-Security Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 There might be a good reason why the installer wanted to fit a surface contact, we have not seen the door in question, could be a glass paneled door with a 25mm frame seen these before. Could we all have a field trip to discuss the door in question ??? www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
norman Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Just inside the frame, hopefully. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
