ADT System Inherited

Hi I recently moved into a property which has an //.National Installer.// installed alarm, however the control pad is displaying an Error in Zone D - As the control panel has no ID on it whatsoever and I have no manual I contacted //.National Installer.//. After ringing them 3 times they finally sent out an incorrect manual (Surely they should know which panel was installed?)

The result of this is I can't reset the alarm, they want £75 for an engineer visit but I don't want to give them my cash as their service was terrible. The panel has a rectangular LCD and the digits are accessed via a pull down panel below this, the system also comes with remote control keyfobs if that rings any bells (No pun intended)

Is there anyone on here who could advise on how to reset the system? Or anyone in the Washington/Sunderland/Newcastle area who could do this - If so how much would it cost me?

Thanks in advance...

is the keypad on the box or remotely

I think the system must have been installed round about 2000 when the house was built, there is a remote sensor by the front door but the keypad is on the box which all the cables go into under the stairs? The flap folds down rather than across and its cream in colour...

No the buttons are square, would it be better if I took a picture tonight and added it to this post tomorrow?
