Brian c Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Try the manuals site, Mike. There are abacus manuals there. I think the newer ones can program chips. not sure though. If you don't know......ask.
Guest Peter James Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 When you say chips do you mean DA digis? It can but its easier to use an 8p as that lcd the 6p is led Pete
mikeald Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 yeah i mean the da systems ones, adv1. any idea how i do it?! Intruder & Fire Member
Garry Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 If its an AB6P you could do with an engineers keypad just plug on the ADV 1 and go into the comms prog I use to carry a duff one its bell output had stopped but the rest of it worked okay it was great for blowing emergancy chips..... Garry.... You can lead a horse to water but you carnt climb a ladder with a bell in both hands.
Guest Peter James Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 the adv1 plugs on the molex pins, and you can program it using the standard led onboard rkp or it is better as gaz says using an lcd rkp. Download the manual from the manuals page . Pete
mikeald Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 great, thanks guys! Intruder & Fire Member
mikeald Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 just checked, and i got an abacus 6. mk -3 whatever that means? And i got 2 lcd keypads!!! I got the manual as well, all i need to know is, where exactly do i insert the chip i want programmed? is it the socket on the board next to the 2 little whie strips with 4 prongs on each? and two resistors inbetween? mike Intruder & Fire Member
mikeald Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 is it the dac programming, which allows me to prog the chip? i have tried this, but the panel isn't seeing the chip. it says 'no response from dac' any ideas? Intruder & Fire Member
Guest Peter James Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Plug the dac onto the pcb molex pins the lighton the digi should flash if its on correctly
