Guest Graham_kak_DIY Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Hi - my stupid cat clawed & broke one of the wires going from my Scantronic 9200 Control Box to a movement sensor in the kitchen which set off the alarm. I put in my access code and it stopped and the "Tamper" light came on for a while, then went off. Me being me thought the solution was simply to replace the damaged section of wire with a "bridge" of fresh wire making sure all colours matched up of course. However, I switched off the mains & cut the (already) broken wire and the alarm went off again!! Now I can't do anything. Everytime I turn off the mains power, the external bell rings and I don't have any Operating Instructions other than the basic users manual. Anyone got any suggestions? I ive in Tooting, South London if anyone knows a reliable engineer... Thanks guys. Graham of kak-DIY fame. PS Am about to shoot the cat....
norman Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 but shoot the cat anyway. 41170[/snapback] *quoted for agreement. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
