hi,guys was just wondering if you could help me,wiring an extension for a customer, and she asked me to move the bellbox,i dont usually touch alarms but this was straightforward or so i thought.when i took the box off the alarm activited so i linked together the green and yellow(the tamper wires)entered the code to turn off the sounder,i then wrote down where each wire needed to be connected back up.I then moved the box onto the opposite side of the house with no new connections made and wired it up as before, but then when i went to the keypad it had no power. So my conclusion was that i must of pulled on the bell wire to hard and must of dissconnected somthing in the main box which is in the loft but apon inspection of the box and checking the fuse in the fused spur everything seems to be in order, any ideas would be appreciated as its horrible looking unproffesional to a customer even though this is a field i dont often wander into, thanks for reading.

Sounds like youve blown a 12v fuse inside the main panel itself, due to shorting a 12v feed to the bell perhaps, assuming you are a spark? - isolate mains from main panel and remove cover, check for blown 12v supply line fuses, replace said fuse, replace cover(s) enter customer code to reset panel and or press reset depending on panel.

Also just to double check, are you sure the wires you linked out were the tamper and not a 12v supply - just double checking??

Sounds like you've blown the AUX fuse mate.

whip the panel lid off and theres some small 20mm glass fuses in there, My guess is that you have popped one of them.
