Guest Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Um, I was ranting about crappy coloured bellboxes the OMBs use round our area!? And made the point that the yellow peril goes against my probably very narrow minded views on bellboxes!Stu. 43029 i like the hex,its unique, granted it aint got the flashing leds some have, but then again you couldnt spot the diff between a live and a dummy which is a plus point..the best thing i have seen lately tho is the glow in the dark abel bells..now thats cool
Guest RICHL Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Does anyone know:i) if Pyronix have addressed/fixed the increasing speed of the LED's yet? ii) Other than the flashguard, who does a dummy LED module, to match an equivilent 'live' box ? ARJ 43019 Gardtec do dummy LED modules both 12v and battery powered, or you can buy a kit from Maplins!
Guest RICHL Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 but then again you couldnt spot the diff between a live and a dummy which is a plus point.. 43037 unless you actually have a live one, in which case you wouldnt want it to look like a dummy would you ?
ARJ Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 unless you actually have a live one, in which case you wouldnt want it to look like a dummy would you ? 43112 We've had a couple of customers in the past where we've alarmed the house, but have also been able to erect a matching dummy on detached garages using a 12v PSU and a LED module. That way atleast it all ties in with the main propertyand looks authentic, rather than having a different LED patern - or none at all. When we used the Pyronix Belle it was easy, but now we're using Texecom it isn't. If Adi says Texecom are bringing one out for the Oddysey range, then that will resolve it. - Thanks Adi ARJ A nearly retired previous installer !

jb-eye Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Come on Jef tell us more about the Abel box then? 45248 The unit weighs a ton which surprised me considering it was fixed with 4 x 1"/8s. It has manufactured by Abel stamped all over it. The sounder is a ventcroft twin peizo mounted to the back plate. The Abel name is cut into the front of the stainless steel. The unit carries a ref: SSU 456. The blue glow is generated from an illuminated plate the same width as the box and only slightly less high and about 3/8 Customers!
Selsport69 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 any pic's ? 45276 Yeah piccies please Kev
Guest Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Do the Novagard 4's still blow the sab batteries? I remember having to change plenty of 7.5v Nicads due to them falling to bits with the odd cell disentigrating after only being installed for less than 12 months. 42957 Battery not venting gases whislt charging.
