Door Contacts

This is probably a stupid question but i will ask it anyway.

I have a basic wired system to which i want to add contacts to one door which currently does not have them.

The door is a shiny new aluminium one where the door is recessed a little into the frame.

I know i will need to build up one contact to "meet" the other but how are they best attached to an aluminium door ?

I would prefer not to drill if possible it but i dont like the idea of double sided tape either!

Any other ideas?

Any comments greatfully received.

Some people feel that a glue gun or silicinoe sealant will do a good job.

I would rather drill and screw.

If you don't know......ask.

Drill and screw also, a door takes a lot of banging and glued things fall off.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Thanks for the responses., i was not comfortable with non mechanical fixings.

Looks like i get the drill out when her indoors is not around.

Think that's the best idea.

Glad we could be of assistance.
