Nova-Security Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 no anybody can one from selected electrical wholesalers 45560 I though you had to be on ademcos / honeywells list before you could but one, never really tried to buy one as we have a direct account. We be instresting if the £155.00 alarm installers for 5 pir system could walk in to somewhere and buy one Its like the engineers manuals they dont come with the panels you have to speak to your rep for them, now why do they do this ? to restrict sales ? i dont think Galaxys technical department are that busy due to they try and keep sales to approved installers, but then other manufactorys have a busy tech helpine due to anybody can buy the products. Last week we had training for G3 the new galaxy this is going to sort the the men out from the boys, and i dont mean this nasty. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
Mavrick_001 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Hi guys!! I'm sure you've all been to the install where the customer thinks they know more than you. I'm also sure you've all been there working with someone watching you the whole job. DG, either, do your own sepcification on the whole job, and don't bother listening to the guy who fits it with his endless amount of experience. Draw him a diagram, lift the carpets and ask nicely to borrow his staple gun and tack the cable in the selected routes you already designed for the installation. Or give him a diagram mm perfect and leave him to it. For christ sake don't bore the poor guy to tears and don't ask stupid B***dy questions pretending to know what your on about!!!!! I'm suprised you get anyone to work for you making threats to sue people who don't forfill your needs, I pitty you poor wife Make the guy a drink, show him where the kettle is and pee off out of his way and let him do his job, this means leaving the house!!!!!! Some people make you feel like banghead You've got more posts than half the engineers on here!!! & your not even trade!!! P.S post the model spec on here it's about time we all had a good 45578 You B!tch, but your right. Get a specification of the installer sign it if your happy with it and let him get on with it. I do wonder that people read these posts and see that professional installers rate the Galaxy as a top of the range panel, we have used them for years but i must say it is not the best for a domestic installation. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
DGMarsden Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 When visiting this website all I have ever wanted is advice from you guys which I would feel is what a forum is about, a place to come, ask questions and share ideas. Whilst most of you are happy to do this I think it is incredibly harsh the amount of ridicule you give out to people publicly, either because they are not as knowledgable about systems as some of you or maybe because they can't spell properly. The fact that the forum is headed up as a "Community" is a shame, because unfortunately for the most it isn't. Linda for those of you who remember her from back in september has invited me to be a member of the other security forum where it is not biassed towards people if they don't have all the answers. I come on here to discuss security and to ask questions and not to be dismissed and abused by various members and supposed moderators. Good Day.
morph Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 I do believe that all your queries have been answered in the Security Comunity open forums, i also remeber that when you were a "Trade Member" we also answered all your queries, having just checked all your posts, this does seem to be the case. Whilst most of you are happy to do this I think it is incredibly harsh the amount of ridicule you give out to people publicly, either because they are not as knowledgable about systems as some of you or maybe because they can't spell properly.I think you will find that generally the moderators act when this occurs and in general this has not been an issue of late, obviously if a member feels that a post is out of line, then there is a report a post link on every post, please use that and we as mederators will act accordingly.Linda for those of you who remember her from back in september has invited me to be a member of the other security forum where it is not biassed towards people if they don't have all the answers. The Majority of us are all know Linda and some of us have even done business with her, I am sorry that you feel that answers are not given to members who do not know all the answers, but as the membership of this site is made of of several thousand members of the Public, then I would strognly doubt the fact that information is biased as they simply would not use the site and the forums. If you feel that you can get the information that you want to hear on another forum, then this is entirely your choice and the main advantage of the WWW -accessabillity to information. But as the members have all answered your query, I am at pains to understand what more information you could gain that has not been given. If you do have questions that still need to be answered then ask them and we will try to help you further and no doubt that you will get a variety of answers as this is the main benefit of a public forum. Colin.
DGMarsden Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 I don't dispute the fact that many people have taken the time to reply for which I am extremely grateful. However, I don't care for the tone of some people posts which are quite clearly offensive quite unnecessarily.
Nova-Security Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 I come on here to discuss security and to ask questions and not to be dismissed and abused by various members and supposed moderators. Everbody who has posted a reply has given you information, but it does seam to me either you dont trust the information or you dont trust the installer you have picked to do the work. http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/comm...?showtopic=5324 64 replies to your previous posts on the same system, or is this another property. Members have done their best to give you the answers you require. And again the Galaxy is the top panel for most installers including my company but it is not the best for a domestic so you are paying for something that you will not get the use of all the features. Wait until you try and part set the system. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
