advancedprotection Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 HI, can anybody tell me if they have purchased a biametric door lock from ljd? i just recieved mine today and was going through the instructions on how to fit it and noticed that it was only suitable for an outward opening door as opposed to the conventional inward opening doors that we use. i have spoken to technical about this and they have assured me that it is possible to fit it on a standard door . can anyone help with this banghead Trade Member It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice!! Guest Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 First off, congratulations for actualy receiving anyything from LJD. The only think that should make any difference is the stike itself. Usually, you just whip it out and turn it around for inward\outward or left hand\right hand doors. Which bit exactly is it that causes the problem?

Guest bigbro Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 whilst talking of LJD, one of our guys was down there today to pick up a bit of gear that we quite seriously needed. Now how long do you think he had to wait from payment to getting the goods in his hands????? THREE HOURS!!!!!!! Mind you they cocked the order up and we got a 400gb hd insteed of the 160
advancedprotection Posted March 30, 2005 Author Posted March 30, 2005 the problem i have is fitting the reciever. in the diagram i was given with the lock it showed the reciever fitted to the doorstop, but as most of british doors open inwards, it would not be possible to fit it that way. the only way i can see of fitting the reciever is to fit it onto the upright of the door frame, but one good kick at the door and your in!! does anyone know different?? i explained this to ljd and they where willling to take back the lock at a 10% handling fee Trade Member It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice!!
