A meter with calibration does not have to be as expensive as the fluke in my tool case. Jef Customers!
mark hills Posted April 7, 2005 Author Posted April 7, 2005 I've just had a look on there, they are not accepting anymore user registrations. Is this a temporary situation? I did note free meter calibration though, thanks. Visit our website www.alarmsonline.co.uk
mark hills Posted April 7, 2005 Author Posted April 7, 2005 Hi Jeff, I had considered that but as a one man business, I am trying to find a cheaper oops I mean more cost effective way. You may be right though, just buy a new meter each year with a certificate. Visit our website www.alarmsonline.co.uk
mark hills Posted April 7, 2005 Author Posted April 7, 2005 Yes. I have just checked again following your link with the same result. Visit our website www.alarmsonline.co.uk

I have looked at act but they are too far away. thanks Mark 47392[/snapback] Our local trade counter has an 'open day' where you can bring in your meters etc.. for calibration for a reasonable cost - but best of all you get it back the same day. Ours is Wilts wholsale but I would imagine most might do the same. A useful thing I have made is a test block of known resistors, and a diode, checked on a decent fluke bench meter, that I test the meter against every morning that I'm using it. That way you dont have to wait until calibration day to find out the last 11 months of readings were crud! Stu. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
