In my opinion he's selling all the stuff he thinks the office has forgotten about, clear case of theft if you ask me Mark Hawks Ex BT Openreach Field Service Now Self employed telecom and data engineer www.mphtelecom.co.uk Also back doing sub contract work in the security industry. norman Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 If he was a 'real' engineer he would describe the Menvier RKP's correctly. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
ian.cant Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 I wanna know how much he gets for his Securicor Alarms phonecard, notice he has a reserve on it..............god only knows where mine is.
Service Engineer Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 I`m amazed anyone can get away with this, the guys selling stuff cheaper than it costs to manufacture. Menvier Keypads at £1.99....? he`s givin the stuff away...He obviousely hasnt bought the stuff or wouldn`t be selling at those prices. ........................................................ Have you used ebay yourself? Firstly the "price" is just the opening price in an auction. There could easily be a reserve that is higher but not visible. I've sold stuff (not alarms) for up to £100 that started at £1. Secondly he's sold loads of similar stuff in the last few weeks and has a 100% rating from people he's dealt with. I agree with the earlier comment about clearing his shed out. Looks like a small local one-man business who's given up, retired, whatever, and is just clearing out the leftovers.
Guest Peter James Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Hmm I have no objections to selling stuff on Ebay after all Ive sold one or too items that I wouldnt use any more. But if you look at this guys history everything he sells is alarms related. Considering his rating is nearly 2k thats alot of alarm stuff sold. The dates go well back, so its unlikely to be a one off clear out of the shed. I dont know the full facts but I dont think I want this guy working for me thats all I can say.

The link in the earlier post goes to someone who's only sold 48 items in total. And two-thirds of it in the last few weeks.
