Guest jonno2607 Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 I've fitted a second remote keypad to a Lynteck Nexus 8 control panel, but need help. So far I have: 1. Disconnected mains 2. Disconnected battery 3. Connected Live and Neutral (NOT Data) of keypad to control panel 4. Reconnected battery and mains New keypad displays " n1 " (as Engineers Guide states it should), but I cannot set the new keypads address number. Engineers Guide says just press 1-4 and YES and a confirmation bleep will be heard, but when I do this I get no bleep and the keypad still shows " n1 ". Should I be connecting the data cable to the control panel 1st? or is there something else I need to do? I'd be grateful for your words of wisdom! banghead
Guest Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Try connecting the data terminal, the engineers guide doesn't say not to connect it. You are setting at a different address to the existing one aren't you? And technically speaking, if you've connected a live and neutral to the keypad I'm amazed it shows anything.
Guest aechlin Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Have you told the system how many RKP's it has with ref. to Menu 23? Alistair
