Guest carlton Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Hi Folks, can anyone help me I've moved into a house that has an alarm, but no codes, no name or manuals. Plus the company who intalled are no longer about. The alarm was disconnected by a tradesman while decorating. now I have the service error on the screen. how do a: get passed this & b: set a new user passcode?I believe that it's an Abacus 15R looking at the control panels on the web I have attached a photo. Regards, carltoncomltd@yahoo.com
Brian c Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Yes it is an Abacus Panel. Not 100% sure of the model though. We cannot give out engineering manuals, but here's a users manual. Abacus_LCD_User_Manual.pdf If you don't know......ask.
whistle Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Its an abacus 8p 8 zones plug on pins for climax/adv1/blustu & you can put a remote keypad on it. As far as defulting codes you realy need an engineer to call in and sort it for you.
Guest carlton Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 The code can be defaulted by engineer only. What part of the country are you in?Pete 48181[/snapback] I'm in the Bath Area, one of the fuses is still out, I'm reluctant to put it back in until i know that I can switch the alarm off, or will it not set it off? regards Carlton

I think it sounds like you need an engineer to visit and give it the once over. There's a listing here.

I also cover your area, (I'm based near Weston village), so please give me a call / email if you are still in need of an engineer. Stu. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Nova-Security Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 ABI stands for Steel case for some reason! Assocation of British Insurers (ABI) one of the first panel to get approved by them www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
