Guest rruwalton Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 I have been very happy with my alarm but the rechargeable battery inside the control panel has finally ceased to work. I need a replacement quickly and would appreciate any information on what battery I need and where to buy it. I live in Leeds so I expect there is a shop somewhere. Thank you in anticipation. Richard
Service Engineer Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 You can also try your nearest branch of Maplins, although like a few Pete`s mentioned they tend to charge that little bit extra. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Guest rruwalton Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 Thanks for the feedback. I seem to have ommitted that I threw the battery away months ago and so don't have any spec on a replacement. This is another reason why I posted in the forum. I need an idiot proof spec as I may end up going to Maplins!
Service Engineer Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 As Pete mentioned earlier, Ask for a 12 Volt 2.1AH (amp/hour) battery. Or pop here and order one: http://groups.msn.com/UKSecurityPanels/ala...mbatteries.msnw ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Guest rruwalton Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 Many thanks for the information. Its good that you can get help without being charged! Richard
