Sounds to me like your battery charging circuit is kapput, have you tried putting a meter on the battery leads with the battery disconnection to check if theres any charging voltage. How long was the previous battery in place for.

the battery has a date on it, 7/11/96. i have replaced it 2day, and the fuse is ok. i havnt checked the leads, i dont have anythink too check it with, if it doesnt work 2morrw nite then i will replace the end user. for what it costs it nowt, i have had the alarm for 10 years. thing is i dont want too replace the remote keypads....

They changed the 700l to 800l. The 800l has an extra zone. If you changed the panel the 700 keypads will need changing as well. They are exactly the same size and little diffecrence other than zone 8 being an there. The new circuit board will fit in the old panel so it's quite stright forward if you know what your doing. As with the others it sounds like the charging cct is b***rd. They're not the most expensive bits of kity so won't cost an arm & a leg

gardiner security, national company if they'll sell to you, usally trade. Otherwise city electrical factors, they will be more expensive. Call directory enquirys for your local branch of either. cheers

Oh by the way, city rebadge them as challenger......

Me.... I'd go for a eurosec cp8l myself..... you may struggle getting hold of one of these...... please ask gardiner security for one because I'd just love to see what they have to say lol
