Guest keithh Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 I was asked to lock up and set the alarm at my ex-wife's pub in Coventry. I don't think they had been using the alarm for a while as the premises were always occupied. The alarm is an oldish (1998?) veritas model. I typed the code and pressed 'Full' with no reaction, jut a little beep. It seemed that the code was wrong. But nobody at the pub would have the knowledge to change the code. Is there any way that the alarm could have disabled itself eg It wants a service, the wrong code was entered too many times, something else? Is there anyone in the Coventry area who could help me on a Bank Holiday?
Service Engineer Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 If you get no other offers of help, PM me your contact details and I`ll ask my workmate in Coventry if he`s available (the fact its a pub may swing it). ........................................................ Guest keithh Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Thanks for the offer of help, however.. I went back this morning to check the building was still there. I realised the alarm panel was stuck in some strange mode. After pressing PROG and RESET and a few other buttons a few times it came back to normal. So were fixed. Thanks Keith
