Guest guest andrew Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Can anyone help me with a problem I have with my alarm. I have moved into a house with an Optima XM6 installed. It seems to work fine except that if the power supply to the house is cut, the alarm always trips, whether it is set or not. The previous occupant has not left any instructions and I don't know who installed the alarm. Is there a setting I can change to stop this, or what else can I do. Thanks for you help.
Guest Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Sounds like the battery has gone kaput! The only way to rectify this is to get the system serviced and have the battery changed, ADE panels are fairly good at cooking themselves once the batteries go faulty. Chances are it's never been serviced since the day it was installed. You don't neccesarily need the original installer to do it, if you post your location someone here may be in your area.
Guest Guest Andrew Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Thanks for the reply. I am in the Basildon, Essex area if there is anyone who can help (or can recommend someone). What would be a reasonable cost for this, if it is a battery replacement? Many thanks.
