Guest cujoman Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Hi All, I work for SecurTek, which is a major security distributor in Canada, we have been doing many, many //.National Installer.// takeovers, yet all of their panels are locked out, with some unknown code. We now have to pay a guy twenty bucks per panel to unlock the dealer/install code so we can use the panel as our own. It is very possible to do this, (we know they are locked out when the DTMF circuit makes eighteen clicks when we power up the locked panel. Does anyone have any idea to where I can find info on this issue, or maybe one of you guys will know how to do it yourself.
Mister_Dave Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Sorry but engineering info is not given out on the forums. Dave Oxendale York based security systems engineer.

Deltaseven Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 The DSC distributors I have used in the past have all had the ability to reset locked panels (but have never given me the know-how or equipment). Have you spoken to your supplier?
Guest Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 D7 - He wants it doing for nothing by the sound of it - as he can get them done now, but he doesnt want to pay. Dave.

Have you spoken to your supplier? 53782[/snapback] I have thought that locked DSC panels can not be resetted (unless you try to find the code). Only MAXSYS products can be "resetted" even if locked since they have PROM on the socket. (as far as i know).
