Just put a Vertec external sounder/strobe on the wall. On www.elmdene.co.uk the Vertec look likes as a nice designed product, but....reality is different. What a ugly sounder! The old Elmdene Prima sounder whas a bit "basic", but looks better.

Who knows good looking external sounders??? The Aritech AS630 maybe (which also has a excellent tamper-protection)?

I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a nice looking bell box? I'd go for performance over looks. If it's a decent, loud box, I'd stick with the Elmdene. If not, you might want to have a look at some boxes from Ventcroft, Klaxon, CQR, Texecom and Gardtec. The Klaxon Xtra looks alright. They all have pictures on their respective websites if you're into bell box porn :-| No I don't look at them when I'm driving either

It baffles me - because as we all know when the thing gets tampered with the alarm goes off anyway and the bell box is backed up anyway by the SAB, so the thing gets signalled to the police and the alarm still goes off - these people baffle me who attack bell-boxes :(

Not strictly true. Some alarm Co. dont signal tamper (hard to beleive eh) and in any event the signal will be xxxxxxx. This mornings episode informed our client of a "cabinet tamper" and when they arrived they were quite sure the offenders were sat watching to see if and how long it took the Police to arrive (of course they didnt as they were not contacted by ARC). The rear paddlock had also been cut off. I notified ARC to Police single events until further notice as this is the second attempt in seven days.

Now thats last bit is probably a good issue for trade forum.
