Guest ashas Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 I HAVE JUST INHERITED A SCANTRONIC 9800 AS I HAVE JUST MOVED HOUSE,HOWEVER THERE WERE NO CODES WHEN I MOVED IN SO I OBTAINED A COPY OF THE MANUAL FORM THIS WEBSITE AND I RE-SET THE NVM. THEN I CAME ACROSS THE PROGRAMMING SEQUENCE ON THE INSIDE OF THE CONTROL PANEL COVER AND PROCEEDED TO PROGRAM THE SYSTEM ACCORDINGLY. HOWEVER THE SYSTEM WILL NOT SET AS THE PANEL IS INDICATING THAT ZONES 3,4,5 & 6 ARE STILL OPEN. MY PROBLEM IS HOW DO I IDENTIFY WHAT IS ON WHAT ZONE. I HAVE ONE DOOR CONTACT ON THE PASSAGE DOOR LEADING FROM THE FRONT DOOR AND DIRECTLY ABOVE THIS DOOR I THEN HAVE A PIR, THEN IN ADDITION TO THIS THE ONLY OTHER THING I CAN SEE IS A SENSOR FITTED TO MY BACK DOOR MEANING THAT THE WHOLE GROUND FLOOR IS COVERED. DOES THIS MEAN THAT I ONLY HAVE 3 ZONES AND NOT 7 . I HAVE PROGRAMMED THE ZONES AS FOLLOWS ACCORDING TO THE PAPERWORK I HAVE FOUND: ZONE 1 / FINAL EXIT ZONE 2 TO ZONE 7 ALL PROGRAMMED TO NORMAL ALARM. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP
dinefwr Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 To find out the zones, do a walk test. You find it in the user manual.
