PIR = Passive Infra-Red Receiver.

Sorry for being pedantic - but if your doing meanings, then you might as well give the correct meaning.

Really I was thinking of it for public use - I'm a DIY'er installing a Texecom system at the moment and although I've got a degree in Computer Science and I'm pretty practical, some of the terminology in the installation manuals is new to me. I can make a pretty good guess at some of it but it would nice to be able to know for sure. Nice site by the way - I'm training to be a plumber at the mo and I can't find a similar plumbing site anywhere.
